While AI dominated the 2026 Super Bowl advertising spots, healthcare organizations also made a solid showing. We’ve collected the nationwide healthcare advertisers for you here along with an analysis of the trends.
Trends from the 2026 Super Bowl Healthcare Ads
GLP-1 Weight Loss Drugs
Five out of 6 healthcare ads in the 2026 Super Bowl advertised products from pharmaceutical companies or digital, direct-to-consumer pharmacy services. Three of those (Ro, Wegovy, and Hims & Hers) were from companies promoting GLP-1 weight loss drugs.
Celebrity and Athlete Endorsements
Five out of 6 (there’s that number again!) ads featured celebrity and athlete endorsements including Serena Williams, Kenan Thompson, Rob Gronkowski, Sofia Vergara, Mike Tyson, and more. Only the ad from Hims & Hers relied exclusively on non-celebrity actors, although the ad was voiced-over by Common.
Humor as Trojan Horse
Several advertisers broke away from the traditional somber tone of healthcare advertising and employed a comedic tone to draw attention from viewers. The Novartis “Relax your tight end” double-entendre utilized this strategy most effectively.
